摘要: Improvement in high-throughput MALDI-TOF MS analysis requires practical and efficient sample preparation protocols for high acquisition rates. The use of hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS) sorbents combination with was explored as a versatile tool peptidomic profiling clinical specimens difficult to process, but considered important sources disease biomarkers: synovial fluid sputum. A rapid procedure, based on dispersive solid-phase extraction peptides using commercially available wormhole mesostructured HMS, tested for: a) pre-concentration standard serially diluted solution up the sub-nanomolar range; b) peptidome sputum fluid. dispersed sponges, significantly amplified peptidic repertoire by excluding from adsorptive process large size proteins, which mask and/or suppress signals. protocol proposed, solid phase extraction, ensures good analytical performances. Moreover, it is economical rapid, avoids less reproducible prolonged procedures, such ultrafiltration filter devices. These findings may contribute defining screening MS-based platform monitoring key features analyse bodily fluids setting.
