摘要: A comprehensive study was performed to examine incidence, species distribution, drugs sensitivity, virulence genes and molecular fingerprints of Aeromonas isolated from patients with acute diarrhoea over a period 2 years in Kolkata, India. Following the Aerokey II scheme, more than 95 % strains were identified level. Seven different encountered this study, caviae being dominant, followed by hydrophila veronii biovar sobria. Thirty serotypes encountered, O16, O83 O85 but no serotype associated specifically single species. The majority exhibited multidrug resistance. alt act genes, which encode heat-labile cytotonic cytotoxic enterotoxins, respectively found 71.9 20.1 examined. Only 2.4 carried heat-stable enterotoxin (ast) gene. hlyA gene 28 strains. With few exceptions, genomic diversity belonging same observed random amplification polymorphic DNA PCR ribotyping. Different clones seem be hospitalized cases
