Among factors considered in analysis are death versus divorce, amount conflict intact and divorced homes, sex custodial parent, parent's remarriage, relationships with stepparents. The results show that does not reduce child's attachment to parent. Divorce noncustodial however, thus reduces total affectional network. This pattern is particularly problematic father-custody homes.
