摘要: Abstract Single cell activity was studied in the diagonal band of Broca and medial septal nucleus cats. The average rate spontaneous firing higher showed more burst than nucleus. Photic, sciatic, acoustic stimulation significantly changed most units with about equal numbers showing facilitation inhibition. Statistical analysis has demonstrated that facilitatory lower inhibitory cells for each three sensory modalities. have a very high degree convergence on same cell. Chloralose anesthesia decreased responsiveness units. possible afferent pathways affecting unit its significance are discussed.
