摘要: Summary. Migrant Wheatears held small territories while resting on Skokholm. Resident males usually arrived before the females and occupied in which they were joined by their mates. pair for life occupy same territory. Territories averaged about four acres, but less years of high population. Territory may act as a limiting factor to population size although it never did so this study. The supplied sufficient, if not more than food adults nestlings. Territory taken up spring was thought be first importance forming pair, maintaining bond between establishing breeding area. That also comprised feeding area secondary importance.
