摘要: Abstract This paper investigates second harmonic generation (SHG) of an intense Cosh-Gaussian (ChG) laser beam propagating through a preformed underdense collisional plasma with nonlinear absorption. Nonuniform heating electrons takes place due to the nonuniform irradiance intensity along wavefront beam. leads self-focusing and thus produces strong density gradients in transverse direction. The so generated excite electron wave (EPW) at pump frequency that interacts produce its harmonics. To envision propagation dynamics ChG beam, moment theory Wentzel–Kramers–Brillouin (W.K.B) approximation has been invoked. effects absorption on as well conversion efficiency harmonics have theoretically investigated.
