摘要: In this chapter we discuss some of the recent work directed at further understanding chemistry our atmosphere in regions low NO x , such as forests, where there are considerable emissions biogenic volatile organic compounds, for example reactive hydrocarbons isoprene. Recent field measurements have revealed surprising results, that OH concentrations measured to be considerably higher than can understood using current chemical mechanisms. It has also not proven possible reconcile other species, oxygenated VOCs, or emission fluxes isoprene, Several complementary approaches been brought bear on formulating a solution problem, namely studies state-of-the-art instrumentation, chamber isolate sub-sections chemistry, laboratory measure rate coefficients, product branching ratios and photochemical yields, development ever more detailed mechanisms, high quality ab initio quantum theory calculate energy landscape relevant reactions enable rates formation products intermediates previously unknown unstudied predicted. The last few years seen significant activity area, with several contrasting postulates put forward explain experimental findings, here attempt synthesise evidence ideas.
