Cough induced syncope: A hint to cardiac tamponade diagnosis.

摘要: We report a case of 75-year-old male with history lung adenocarcinoma who presented shortness breath and frequent episodes cough-induced syncope. A large pericardial effusion was found on echocardiogram suggestive cardiac tamponade. Pericardiocentesis done which improved the dyspnea eventually resolved There are only two other cases reported in literature syncope setting or Our clinical vignette also highlights importance pulsus paradoxus identification patients cough induced to rule out tamponade since this is most sensitive physical finding for its diagnosis.
