摘要: . The present study was performed to obtain further details on the immuno-modulating effects of oxytetracycline (OTC) in carp, Cyprinus carpio L. immuno-logical extended by investigating pharmacokinetic behaviour OTC. Oxytetracycline, at a dosage 60 mg/kg, administered five times intra-peritoneally 3-day intervals; first injection given 1 day before immunization. kinetics primary anti-sheep red blood cell (SRBC) response, during short-term OTC treatment revealed that plaque-forming (PFC) response not significantly affected nor its solvent. In contrast, number cells decreased. anti-SRBC antibody production delayed 2–4 days both experimental groups (OTC and solvent). However, within 12–14 post-immunization, same levels were detected as control group. High plasma (>50 μg/ml) about 10 h after single i. p. injection. A mean elimination half-life (T1/2) 34·5 calculated.
