摘要: A portion of the accumulated tailings in a pond exhibits an unsaturated state. The mechanical properties affect safety and stability dams. To investigate effect moisture content on deformation characteristics mesoscale, special testing apparatus is applied to experimentally study settlement mesostructure evolution under continuous load. results show that with different contents load same can be divided into four stages: pore compression, elastic deformation, structure change, further compaction. However, critical pressures stages are significantly different; there optimal corresponding maximum resistance. Moreover, influence liquid bridge regime discussed this paper.
