ON QUASI-STATIC CRUSHING OF A STIFFENED SQUARE TUBE

摘要: The aims of this study are to obtain experimental data on the crushing stiffened square tubes, and develop a simple analytical expression for predicting mean strength plates making up plated structure. A series axial tests in quasi-static condition was carried out thin-walled tubes which were composed four identical panels. Specimens with longitudinal and/or transverse stiffenders, including unstiffened specimens, tested, varying dimensions plate stiffener. effective length test specimens investigated.
