摘要: In late 2015, an increase in the number of infants born with microcephaly poor communities northeast Brazil prompted investigation antenatal Zika infection as cause. now circulates 69 countries, and has affected pregnancies women 29 countries.Public health officials, policymakers, international organizations are considering interventions to address consequences epidemic. To date, public responses have focused on mosquito vector eradication, sexual reproductive services, knowledge technology including diagnostic test vaccine development, system preparedness.We summarize date apply human rights related principles nondiscrimination, participation, legal policy context, accountability identify shortcomings offer suggestions for more equitable, effective, sustainable responses.
