摘要: In recent years, three-dimensional topological insulators (3DTI) as a novel state of quantum matter have become hot topic in the fields condensed physics and materials sciences. To fulfill many spectacularly phenomena predicted 3DTI, real host are crucial importance. this review paper, we first introduce general methods searching for new 3DTI based on density-functional theory. Then, progress realization including simple elements, binary compounds, ternary quaternary compounds. these potential materials, some them already been confirmed by experiments while others not yet. The discussed here does contain with strong electron-electron correlation. Lastly, give brief summary outlooks further studies.
