摘要: The machinability of NiTi based shape memory alloys has been examined. Starting with turning experiments, cutting parameters were varied within a wide range. In addition, the influence cooling lubricant concept was investigated. After reaching acceptable results for turning, field investigation extended to drilling process. Furthermore, first examinations regarding deep hole tubes from alloy carried out. machining process optimised respect environmental and commercial aspects minimal on characteristics alloys. evaluated in terms tool wear, forces quality. wear analysed scanning electron microscope subsurface zone investigated by micro hardness measurements.
