摘要: This study aimed to assess the in vitro efficacy of lasers Er:YAG, Nd:YAG, and CO2 operating low energy mode for caries prevention pits fissures. Forty-five caries- free enamel occlusal sections were randomly divided into three groups: G1 2 Er:YAG (80 mJ/2Hz); G2 Nd:YAG Laser (1W 10 Hz); G3 (0.4 W 20 Hz). After surface treat- ment, samples submitted challenge with acid consisting a 10-day immersion demineralizing (6 h) remineralizing solution (18 h). Next, demineralization was quan- titatively evaluated by subsurface microhardness test polarized-light microscopy (PLM, mm ) qualitatively assessed scanning electron microscopy. The Wilcoxon used com- parison each group its own control. ANOVA ( a5 5%) employed comparison among groups, Fisher's LSD multiple applied, check difference means. Concerning analyses, statistical between control, experimental areas only detected group. Experimental values higher than controls. As PLM smaller demineralized measured (Nd:YAG) (CO2) pared control areas. In conclusion, present findings suggest that laser should be selected order increase resistance Microsc. Res.
