摘要: Abstract Carbon disulfide (CS 2 ) and carbonyl sulfide (COS) can be generated from sulfur-containing species in a combustion chamber, thus may present at the exhaust gas even emitted to atmosphere. Therefore, it is of great interest study understand mechanism through which conversion CS COS takes place under conditions, both develop strategies control these emissions and, consequently, preserve environment. In this context, combined experimental modeling addressing different conditions has been undertaken. The developed kinetic validated against data obtained work moist laboratory quartz flow reactor. Experiments were performed atmospheric pressure, 300–1400 K temperature range, environments, ranging fuel rich lean specifically air excess ratios λ  = 0.2, 0.7, 1, 20. results have analyzed interpreted terms detailed phase mechanism, elementary steps involving as function operating identified. Results indicate that oxidation both, COS, produced by interaction with radical pool, mainly O radicals, lesser extent S being last consumption step more relevant reaction environment becomes richer. involves complex process compared since an intermediate product during its also chemistry.
