摘要: The ability of 71 strains Salmonella enterica originating from produce, meat, or clinical sources to form biofilms was investigated. A crystal violet binding assay demonstrated no significant differences in biofilm formation by isolates any source when tested the following three media: Luria-Bertani broth supplemented with 2% glucose, tryptic soy (TSB), 1/20th-strength TSB. Incubation overnight at 30 degrees C under static conditions. Curli production and cellulose were monitored assessing morphotypes on agar without salt containing Congo red fluorescence calcofluor, respectively. One hundred percent exhibited curli biosynthesis, 73% production. All meat-related formed curli, 84% produced cellulose. total 80% produce-related but only 52% Crystal not statistically different between representing grown TSB; however, observed cultured two other media tested. These data demonstrate that is dependent test isolate suggest a relationship morphotype, curli- cellulose-deficient being least effective formation.
