摘要: Mobile app stores provide a unique platform for developers to rapidly deploy new updates of their apps. We studied the frequency 10,713 mobile apps (the top free 400 at start 2014 in each 30 categories Google Play store). find that small subset these (98 representing ?1 % apps) are updated very frequent rate -- more than one update per week and 14 on bi-weekly basis (or frequently). observed 45 frequently-updated do not users with any information about rationale exhibit median growth size 6 %. This paper provides regarding strategies employed by The results our study show 1) should shy away from updating frequently, however varies across store categories. 2) Developers need be too concerned detailing content updates. It appears such information. 3) Users highly rank instead being annoyed high frequency.
