摘要: Abstract Calcite scale deposition along the flow path is most common among assurance problems in oil wells. Frequent well cleaning creates a major increase operating cost. In order to minimize formation of deposits, threshold inhibitor treatment practice industry. The authors describe synthesis, characterization, and comparative evaluation low molecular weight maleic acid-methacrylic acid copolymer as potential calcite inhibitor. GPC FT-IR were employed for characterization; inhibition efficiency was studied through static jar test, dynamic tube block method, also an electrochemical technique (e.g., impedance technique). SEM analysis demonstrated inhibited uninhibited crystal morphology, 100% possible at dose 20–25 ppm throughout test regime.
