摘要: To determine the temporal variations of submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) and SGD-driven nutrients inputs, we measured seepage rate nutrient concentrations pore water/groundwater in Bangdu Bay Jeju Island at two three month intervals from September 2009 to 2010. The ranged 0 330 cm/day (average ~170 cm/day) during five sampling periods, which increased sharply high tide low due changes hydraulic pressure gradient between water table land sea level coastal ocean by tidal cycles. inputs were also relatively higher summer than winter. fluxes SGD about 90~100%, 70~95%, 65~100% total input (except open waters) for dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN), phosphorus (DIP), silicate (DSi), respectively, potentially supporting 0.9~33 g new primary production Baugdu Bay. Thus, our study suggests that may play an important role eutrophication biological Island.
