Mutating Neoliberalism: The Promotion of Italian Investors in Slovakia before and after the Global Financial Crisis

摘要: In the context of literature on 'actually existing neoliberalisms', this article analyzes policies and services supporting Italian foreign direct investment (FDI) in Slovakia. It identifies a group organizations, both Slovak Italian, which shape deliver neoliberal pro-FDI policies. By studying such an 'investment promotion community' (IPC) before after global financial crisis 2009, during Italy's prolonged crisis, shows persistence adaptability institutions. so doing, it highlights some transnational flows underpinning 'domestication' neoliberalism These findings support recent arguing that post-crisis can be interpreted as stunted Polanyian double movement, state has improved its regulatory functions but without questioning overarching principles. Specifically, FDI investors rest upon professional community not changed much since 2009 crisis. This played crucial role embedding rationalities Slovakia supports ideology environment.
