摘要: Endocrine disruptors (EDs) are xenobiotics that interfere with the synthesis, secretion, transport, binding, action, and elimination of natural hormones. In this paper, photodegradation six EDs in municipal wastewater treatment plant effluents at pilot scale is reported. The were bisphenol A, B, diamyl phthalate, butyl benzylphthalate, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate. ZnO as photocatalyst tandem Na2S2O8 electron acceptor under sunlight used. process was previously optimized laboratory conditions through a photoreactor artificial UVA irradiation studying role some key operating parameters (catalyst loading, effect acceptor, pH). Results carried out show addition strongly enhances degradation rates compared photolytic test. At end time (240 min), remaining amounts ranged from 24% (butyl benzylphthalate) to 0% (  parabens > phthalates. After photoperiod, 83% initial dissolved organic carbon removed toxicity decreased acceptable values (11% inhibition Vibrio fisheri). found follow pseudo-first-order kinetic model DT50 ranging 5 min (bisphenol B) 102 min benzylphthalate). Thereby, photocatalytic oxidation using an area environmental interest for polluted water, particularly relevant Mediterranean countries, where solar highly available.
