摘要: The performance of EDTA for the treatment calcareous soils contaminated with heavy metals from mining and smelting activities was evaluated in this study. Soil samples containing variable levels contamination, 500 to 35 000 mg kg-1 Pb 700 20 Zn, were subjected extraction found vary, ranging between 50 98% 100% Zn. Total residual concentrations above limits set by regulatory authorities; leachable metals, however, efficiently removed treated all acceptable terms toxicity. effect concentration pulp density studied on a soil sample 12 10 Heavy removal improved at low densities when increased 0.025 0.25 M. tetrasodium salt Na4-EDTA be less effective compared disodium Na2-EDTA, though applied higher concentrations. This experimental work has also demonstrated great importance matrix overall evaluation leaching as cost remedial option. simultaneous dissolution calcite consume approximately 90% available EDTA. It thus concluded that design criteria estimations should based content soil.
