摘要: At the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) significance of citizen participation in environmental decision-making was set out Rio Declaration1 Agenda 212 two key UNCED instruments. The Declaration recognizes contribution individuals can make towards tackling issues. It therefore enunciates right individual access to information held by public authorities.3 also urges States facilitate making environment widely available and, ensuring judicial administrative proceedings.4 In addition it underscores importance women,5 youth,6 indigenous people7 matters relating environment.
