摘要: A new clinicopathological disorder associated with a paramyxovirus infection in pigs is described. Central nervous system manifestations and corneal opacity are the main features piglets two to 21 days old. Older seem be more resistant only commonly observed. In pregnant sows virus appears responsible for reproductive disturbances such as stillbirth, mummification return oestrus. The changes mainly microscopic characterised by non-suppurative encephalomyelitis, interstitial pneumonia anterior uveitis oedema. Experimental of one-day-old reproduced clinical signs similar those described naturally infected piglets. was recovered from tonsils, lung brain experimentally between fourth 20th day after infection.
