摘要: The hydrological sensitivity of a mid-size basin in the Mediterranean region to global and regional climate patterns is presented current study, based on methodology generate basin-scale, long-term monthly surface temperature precipitation time series that permits modeling basin’s runoff. To this end, case Litani Basin was selected. This located Lebanon situated east Basin. It known have diverse environmental setting. selection made, first, point out importance physical topographical characteristics cover coastal versus mountainous regions its hydro-climatological response and, also demonstrate opportunity for conducting related studies areas with limited measured and/or data. Monthly data were collected from different resources including grid based, satellites gauging stations. Hillslope River Routing (HRR) model selected discharges. Due lack runoff data, synthetic daily generated available using two-part gamma distribution mixed exponential models order produce examine resulting watershed runoffs. shown maintain dry trend period between 1900 2008. In addition, pattern teleconnections correlation illustrated. results show significant many circulation Litani’s hydro-climatology. basin's streamflow regime investigated subject effects various hypothetical predicted change scenarios. suggest effect combination rise decrease Litani. study will support water managers, planners river agencies incorporating impacts hydrology during development planning process.
