摘要: This paper presents advances of biometrics and their future development as identified during the COST 2101 Action "Biometrics for Identity Documents Smart Cards". The main objective was to investigate novel technologies unsupervised multimodal biometric authentication systems using a new generation biometricsenabled identity documents smart cards, while exploring addedvalue these large-scale applications with respect European requirements in relation storage, transmission protection personal data. At present, we can observe that identifying people is becoming more challenging important because are moving faster digital services (local remote) norm all transactions. From this perspective, combined cards offer wider deployment opportunities application enabling technology modern management will be near future.
