Raman spectra of niobium oxides

摘要: Abstract Raman spectra of various types niobium oxides have been studied along with their i.r. and the interpreted in light structures oxides. Besides discussing LO-TO splitting these oxides, bands characteristic edge-shared corner-shared NbO6, octahedra assigned. Tetrahedral modes NbO4, PO4, VO4 units present some assigned to distinct indicating negligible coupling between tetrahedra NbO6 octahedra. The PNb9O25 analogues suggest that they belong I4/m space group rather than IZ 4 - group.
