摘要: Abstract Firmground muds are frequently exposed on the high-tide beach face in zone of maximum wave energy wave-dominated tidal flats along southwestern coast Korea. The firmground typically display open, unlined burrows, dominated by incipient Psilonichnus and Thalassinoides that cross-cut earlier-formed softground suites, which comprise Skolithos , Arenicolites Monocraterion . Modern faunal distributions confirm these ichnogenera constructed sediments different consistency at time colonization as a result autogenic swash-bar migration. By considering migration-rate intertidal swash bars, it can be shown mud only needs to buried little 0.5 m for few years produce muds. These numbers burial depth duration much less than is commonly realized. results this research, combined with previous studies, suggest Glossifungites Ichnofacies environmentally wide-ranging from tide-dominated settings. This study also confirms mainly associated erosion marginal-marine settings thereby deployed stratigraphic indicator hiatal surfaces. However, importance -demarcated discontinuities must assessed carefully determine whether or not allogenic processes contributed their emplacement.
