摘要: Aims: Studies conducted in first-episode psychosis (FEP) samples avoid many biases. However, very few studies are based on epidemiological cohorts treated specialized FEP services. The aim of this file audit study was to examine premorbid and baseline characteristics a large sample FEP. Methods: File all patients admitted the Early Psychosis Prevention Intervention Centre between 1998 2000 using questionnaire. Results: There were 661 patient files included study. Premorbid evaluation revealed high rates substance use disorder (74.1%), history psychiatric (47.5%), past traumatic events (82.7%) suicide attempts (14.3%) family illness (55.6%). Baseline intensity (mean CGI 5.5), prevalence lack insight (62%) rate comorbidity (70%). Conclusion: High or episodes mental before treatment for must be considered when designing approaches because too narrow focus positive psychotic symptoms will inevitably lead incomplete treatment. Additionally, early intervention programmes need sufficient range resources address multiple challenges presented by such as severity illness, comorbidities functional impairment. Finally, observation an important degree impairment despite short duration untreated suggests that while detection is necessary step intervention, it may not improve recovery efforts aimed at identifying people during prodromal phase disorders should pursued.
