摘要: Renal clearance of inulin is the best available indicator GFR but cannot be used routinely for clinical purposes and also difficult to perform investigation when repeated measurements are required. The aim this study was find a reliable alternative that would allow one avoid use radioactivity problems related continuous infusion marker. plasma unlabeled iohexol, nonionic contrast agent, used. Forty-one patients (creatinine 6 160 mL/min per 1.73 m2) underwent simultaneous renal iohexol. Iohexol given as single iv dose, blood samples were drawn up 600 min after administration. concentrations (by HPLC) analyzed by two-compartment, open-model system. A highly significant correlation between iohexol over wide range values found. By analyzing data with simplified method uses one-compartment model corrected Brochner-Mortensen formula, an excellent observed. When only moderate severe failure considered, two methods further comparison determined iopromide, new low-osmolarity, low-viscosity medium, performed in subgroup patients.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
