摘要: Solid colloidal ensembles inherently contain water adsorbed from the ambient moisture. This water, confined in porous network formed by building submicron spheres, greatly affects ensemble properties. Inversely, one can benefit such influence on collective features to explore behavior nanoconfinements. Recently, novel approaches have been developed investigate in-depth where and how is placed nanometric pores of self-assembled crystals. Here, we summarize these advances, along with new ones, that are linked general interfacial phenomena like adsorption, capillary forces, flow. Water-dependent structural properties crystal give clues interplay between nanoconfined solid fine particles determines ensembles. We elaborate knowledge gained crystals provides opportunities for multidisciplinary study liquids their essential role physics utmost important systems as particulate media.
