Corporate Social Responsibility, Legislative Reforms and Mining in South Africa

摘要: The South African mining industry is currently one of the largest contributing sectors to country’s economy. In years preceeding new constitutional era, sole aim sector was exploitation Africa’s rich mineral resources while majority Africans only benefitted indirectly from infrastructure and economy established by sector. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a large extent neglected received attention after introduction Constitution Republic Africa, 1996 promulgation legislation such as Mineral Petroleum Resources Development Act 28 2002.
