摘要: A 7.6 kb PstI-KpnI DNA fragment including a sequence highly similar to kasugamycin acetyltransferase gene (kac) was isolated from Streptomyces kasugaensis M338-M1 and sequenced. Nine open reading frames (ORFs), designated as ORF A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H I, were recognized in this region, although incomplete. G runs the opposite direction others. The amino acid deduced showed 98% similarity that of S. MB273-C4, another (KSM) producer. Transformation E. coli JM109 with made strain resistant KSM. sequences C D products similar, respectively, glucosyltransferase I (26%), β-alanine: pyruvate transaminase Pseudomonas putida (32%) dTDP-D-glucose 4, 6-dehydratase (StrE) griseus (37%). strE-like (ORF D) seems be responsible for formation 6-deoxy structure kasugamine moiety. are also likely have roles KSM biosynthesis. Taken together, our analyses strongly suggest region includes at least part cluster
