摘要: In the last decade, studies of transient receptor potential (TRP) channels, a superfamily cation-conducting membrane proteins, have significantly extended our knowledge about molecular basis sensory perception in animals. Due to their distinct activation mechanisms and biophysical properties, TRP channels are highly suited function cells, either as receptors for environmental or endogenous stimuli players signal transduction cascades downstream metabotropic receptors. As such, play crucial role many mammalian senses, including touch, taste smell. Starting with brief survey invertebrate model systems, this review covers current state research on channel classical senses summarizes how modulation can tune sensations.
