摘要: Abstract Electrical responses to tooth pulp stimulation (TPS) and a flashing light have been recorded from acute cats having electrodes in the dorsal tegmentum of mesencephalon, centrum medianum, lateral geniculate gyrus. The effects morphine, chlorpromazine, pentobarbital meprobamate upon these were determined three types experimental situations: (a) those which only TPS was given (b) plus given, (c) flashes given. In general, presentation did not alter evoked nor drug effect responses. contrast, medianum differentially affected depending whether or had delivered. Morphine significantly depressed situation (b). Pentobarbital both situations but less effective No consistent observed with chlorpromazine. It concluded that experiments present method may be useful disclosing neurophysiological changes otherwise apparent and/or detecting subtle differences between neuropharmacological agents.
