摘要: Nearly one-third of individuals with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11.2DS) develop a psychotic disorder during life, most them by early adulthood. Importantly, full-blown episode is usually preceded subthreshold symptoms. In the current study, 760 participants (aged 6-55 years) confirmed hemizygous microdeletion have been recruited through 10 medical sites worldwide, as part an international research consortium. Of them, 692 were nonpsychotic and complete measurement data. Subthreshold symptoms assessed using Structured Interview for Prodromal Syndromes (SIPS). met criteria positive (32.8%), less than 1% qualified acute symptoms, almost quarter negative/disorganized (21.7%). Adolescents young adults (13-25 showed highest rates Additionally, higher anxiety disorders attention deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD) found among study compared to those without. Full-scale IQ, verbal global functioning (GAF) scores negatively associated participants' This represents comprehensive analysis reported date on psychosis in 22q11.2DS. Novel findings include age-related changes evidence that cognitive deficits are this population. Future studies should longitudinally follow these detect whether how identification treatment manifestations can improve long-term outcomes eventually disorder.
