Strategies for Decreasing Patient Anxiety in the Perioperative Setting

摘要: Perioperative patient anxiety is a pervasive problem that can have far-reaching effects. Among these effects are increased postoperative pain, risk for infection, and longer healing times. Many factors affect perioperative anxiety, including the need surgery, perceived loss of control, fear alteration body image. This systematic review current literature was undertaken to identify evidence-based interventions decreasing in practice. According research literature, education music therapy be used successfully reduce surgical patients' anxiety.
