摘要: Abstract Background Osteoblastic bone reaction is an important phenomenon defined by increase in apparent density of previously known metastasis or development new osteoblastic lesions the presence response other tumour sites. lung cancer has only been described a few reports and mostly patients with pre-existing metastasis. Methods In this report we present data independent, blinded preplanned radiological review occurrence extensive stage small cell (SCLC). The computed tomography (CT) scans chest upper abdomen 71/88 who had investigator reported complete (CR), partial (PR) stable disease (SD) were retrospectively analysed for lesions. Furthermore, baseline exams reviewed location local any knowledge Results There 14 follow-up CT scans. Three metastases at baseline, 11 no history findings on scan. During course disease, 13 out developed lesions, while all responded prevalence our study was 19.7%. Conclusion observed larger number without documented metastases, indicating high occult SCLC. If are not diagnosis, then may cause confusion responding patient.
