摘要: The variation of pore water pressure in earthen dams plays an important role maintaining its stability. within the dam are altered by external loading conditions like rapid drawdown reservoir water, earthquake and raise table caused infiltration rainfall. seepage through involves saturated unsaturated flows but to avoid complexity solving non-linear partial differential equations, flow zone is neglected analysis carried constructing net which pressures beyond free surface taken as zero. In actual negative develops due capillarity leads development matrix suction soil. this paper a comparative study on distribution zoned under steady state transient had been out considering unsaturated-saturated theory. To solve finite element method has adopted present study. modeled different stages. At each stage new parameter was added parametric out. results indicate that developed at downstream side mid-levels core high. This specifies that, soils with low permeability have higher pressure. appeared be upstream during compared state.
