摘要: Abstract The chemical characterization of PM2.5 fraction was studied during a one-year sampling campaign conducted at an urban area (city center) Thessaloniki, Greece. samples were analyzed for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, minerals and trace elements, water soluble ions, organic elemental carbon. average concentration (37.7 μg/m3) significantly higher than the EU legislated annual limit 25 μg/m3 underlining temporal problems air quality in city. PM mass composition data collected city center compared to corresponding which simultaneously site near port. atmosphere port has been found be more aggravated area. Statistical analysis diagnostic ratios both sites used identify main sources contributing pollutant levels: traffic, biomass burning domestic heating, shipping activities dust resuspension. In general, highlighted that mainly composed by secondary inorganic aerosols particulate matter, reflecting simultaneous contribution regional local emission sources.
