摘要: Abstract The characteristics of the two-level quasi-geostrophic model are evaluated for a wide range parameter values in Jovian domain. results support hypothesis that baroclinic instability energizes circulation Jupiter and Saturn blocking effect planetary wave propagation on turbulent cascades determines width zonality bands—the degree being higher absence surface drag. circulations consist multiple westerly jets, separated by strong easterly flows—the result momentum partitioning Kuo vortex separation process.
