摘要: Biological target: 3-Substituted 1,4-benzodiazepine-2-one (1,4-BZD) molecules are privileged structures, in that minor changes can produce a wide variety of biological actions. 1,4-BZD drugs have been developed target ligands. Here, four exemplary 3-amino substituted structures discussed, three which inhibit γ-secretase, an enzyme cleaves amyloid precursor protein (APP) to form amyloid-β-peptide (Aβ) deposits the brain Alzheimer’s patients. The fourth, 1,4-BZD, L-768,673, is potassium channel inhibitor delays initiation cardiac action potential.
