摘要: Abstract The effects of electron–hole (e–h) symmetry breaking on the optical fine structure splitting (FSS) single excitons in individual InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots are experimentally and theoretically studied. measured FSSs small show a monotonic decrease with increasing emission energy eventually almost vanish ( ≲ 10 μ eV ) high regime. A theory based 3D asymmetric parabolic model for e–h exchange interaction combination finite difference simulations Ga-diffused QDs is developed to explore underlying physics. reduced regime shown closely related wave function which especially significant highly dots. Ga-diffusion induced asymmetry reduces overlap results feature splitting.
