摘要: This study presents the development and application of methodologies to support weather-responsive traffic management (WRTM) strategies by building on estimation prediction system models. First, a systematic framework for implementing evaluating WRTM under severe weather conditions is developed. includes activities planning, preparing, deploying in three different time frames: long-term strategic short-term tactical real-time center operations. Next, evaluation various demonstrated with locally calibrated network simulation-assignment model capabilities, special-purpose key performance indicators are introduced. Three types [demand management, advisory control variable message signs (VMSs), incident VMSs] applied multiple major U.S. areas, namely, Chicago, Illinois; Salt Lake City, Utah; Long Island area New York. The analysis results illustrate benefits inclement emphasize importance incorporating predictive capability into selecting strategies.
