摘要: The role of social movements and political activism as educative processes milieus is often overlooked by scholars those working in the field adult education. Yet are not only significant sites struggle for change but also important - albeit contested contradictory- terrains learning, knowledge production research. Grounded insights from author's longstanding involvement multi-scalar movement organizing, education research, this article draws primarily his current research on activist practice non- governmental organizations (NGOs) which work closely with them. It traces dialectical relations between informal non-formal learning action, action. Drawing interviews conducted 2012-2013 Philippines, South Africa, Canada UK, focuses ways carried out activists "in struggle", located outside university institutional contexts or partnerships. Emphasizing character all production, it argues that everyday struggles means to build movements, alliances, counter-power generative of, turn informed learning/knowledge aspects activity.
