摘要: Special core analyses on 44 tight Mesaverde sandstone samples from the U.S. DOE Multiwell Experiment (MWX) were combined with petrographic investigations to relate porosity and permeability of cores pore structure rocks. Core analysis was performed 1-in. (2.54-cm) -diameter horizontal plug a computerized steady-state-flow measuring device that routinely measures gas flow rates resolution better than 10/sup -6/ std cm/sup 3//s. All selected intervals expected be gas-productive basis wireline well logs taken portion interval showed lowest gamma ray log response. The plugs measured for dry gas, relative at various water saturations, PV compressibility. Petrographic directly off ends analyzed both an optical microscope scanning electron (SEM). study explicitly directed toward observing paths deduced data.
