摘要: Abstract A joint Norwegian–Greenland longline survey was conducted at East Greenland in August 1997, using different hook and bait types. Most Norwegian longliners use hooks of the type EZ 12/0. This compared to three versions a new circle 14/0 hook. total catch 2899 halibut from 45,760 baited with squid were used selectivity analyses. In average, CPUE 281 kg/1000 for circular 36% higher making an overall significant difference between hooks. On 6630 grenadier alternately. The 25% bait. resulted reduction bycatch (1.1 20.7% by numbers, respectively). Catches 12/0 one order examine size selectivity. Using SELECT approach, expected proportions fitted observed five models All almost identical fits. absence non-selective data requires choice curve be based on knowledge about capture process. Since curves cannot determined unambiguously this study, none estimated are preferred other.
