摘要: Human T cell leukemia virus (HTLV) type-2 is a human retrovirus whose infection has not been tightly linked to diseases. However, the fairly high prevalence of this among HIV-1-positive individuals indicates importance better understanding potential interference HTLV-2 on HIV-1 and AIDS. We previously demonstrated that one signature PBMC freshly derived from HIV-1-infected constitutive activation C-terminal truncated STAT5 (STAT5Delta). Therefore, we analyzed STATs in monoinfected HTLV-2/HIV-1 dually infected individuals. observed HTLV-2-infected do show STAT unless they are cultivated ex vivo, absence any mitogenic stimuli, for at least 8 h. The emergence activation, namely STAT1, culture was mostly related secretion IFN-gamma. Of note, phenomenon only characteristic feature but also occurred with HIV-1(+) Surprisingly, coinfection resulted low/absent vivo paralleled diminished IFN-gamma after cultivation. Our findings indicate both prime lymphocytes STAT1 highlight an exerted by HIV-1-induced activation. Although nature such unclear present, these support hypothesis may interfere multiple levels.
