摘要: Glauconite deposits, naturally occurring aluminosilicates rich in iron and potassium, are abundant New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland. The presence of these deposits has been shown to be responsible for a high content sodium ground water certain region ammonium metal (Pb, Zn, Cd) removal capability was investigated both batch column reactors using natural, NaCl- NaOH-treated glauconite-bearing sand. Ammonium by glauconite is typical ion exchange process. Both adsorption matal removal. Important factors such as pH, sample source, method pretreatment were studied. follows the order Pb(II) > Zn(II) Cd(II). surface acidity characterized an acidmetric-alkalimetric titration. constants, pK1i, pK2i, 3.6 6.0, respectively.
